Fifty-two JSerra students earned the designation “AP Scholar” this year, more than any group in JSerra history, officials said.
And senior Chloe Kempf also earned special recognition from the National Merit Scholarship program for her outstanding performance on the PSAT exam.
Fourteen JSerra students earned “AP Scholar with Distinction” for scoring three or higher on five exams and an average of 3.5.
Eleven earned “AP Scholar with Honor” for earning a three or higher on four exams and an average score of 3.25.
And 27 earned “AP Scholar” for earning a score of three or higher on three exams.
“This group included many graduates from the class of 2010,” said vice principal Eric Stroupe, “but also encompasses many present students.”
Among current students, two earned AP Scholar with Distinction honors: Luke Decker and Madeline Shaver.
The AP Scholars with Honors are: Shannon Brady, Matthew Halbasch, Chloe Kempf, Tara Lanigan, Shelby Lindholm, Kyle Shackleford.
And AP Scholars are: Max Champion, Hayden Cornwell, Jeremy Hall ,Nicholas King, Ann Marsolais, Chloe McGrath, Brittany Morris, William Rawlings, Steve Summers, Kristina Winn.
