Representatives from 77 colleges and universities raved about their visits with more than 1,000 students and their families Wednesday night at JSerra Catholic High School’s first annual College Fair.
“The universities evaluated the event as an overwhelming success,” said JSerra President and CEO Frank Talarico. “We received fantastic feedback from parents, students and university representatives who were delighted they made such essential connections and are already eagerly planning to return next year.”
A sampling of universities attending the event includes UCLA, Notre Dame, USC, West Point, Cornell, Princeton, University of Virginia, and the 600-year-old University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
“The college representatives were very impressed with our families – and especially our Caritas Christi students,” said Michelle O’Reilly, event coordinator, adding: “The best part: students and their families were able to get firsthand information from many of the nation’s best universities as they prepare for their future.”
JSerra will host another innovative college preparatory event Sunday afternoon. More than 400 people are expected to visit the Center Room for Columbia University’s first-ever informational event on an Orange County high school campus.
