Top Ranked Cross Country Teams Prepare for CIF

JSerra’s top-ranked girls cross country team added another piece of hardware to its growing trophy collection.

Trinity League and defending state champs focus on CIF

For the second consecutive year, the girls are Trinity League champions. The defending state champs are now turning their attention to CIF, after winning league last week. CIF prelims are Saturday.

But the girls aren’t the only JSerra team projected to outrun the competition.

The boys are ranked No. 2 in CIF – and No. 3 in the state. The girls are No. 1 in both polls.

“Both team have worked very hard to put themselves in a position to win big titles,” said coach Martin Dugard. “The boys had JSerra’s best and fastest finish in school history, and both teams set team records at Trinity League finals.”

Medical Magnet Program ‘Groundbreaking’

A television news crew from Chapman University visited JSerra last week to profile the school’s medical magnet program.

Reporter Joe Fann interviewed teachers Betty Cappelletti and Jan Kilduff and students  James Barrett and Madison Goe.

“(Students) are getting to use technology in class that most universities would be envious of,” Fann reported.
