Dear JSerra Community ,
We have been successful at hiring a new President, Mr. Rich Meyer. Mr. Meyer and I were able to spend about 90 minutes together and discussed the position of President, his philosophy of education, his vision for JSerra and his family, kids, food and a host of other subjects. Mr. Meyer is accomplished as an administrator, an excellent conversationalist, has terrific family and business values, and in his heart believes JSerra is where he belongs professionally.
It is with a heavier, but grateful heart that I notify you that I am no longer your Interim President. While there are still a few weeks before Mr. Meyer reports to his new position, a Transition Team comprised of three members of the Board of Directors has been assembled and they will facilitate the transition process and support the new president for his first 3-6 months in office.
Without question you have at JSerra the nicest, most honest, hardest working, professional group of people with whom I have ever had the opportunity to work. OK – I did work in the insurance industry so maybe the bar isn’t that high! Still – it is an ensemble of tremendous individuals and an outstanding team that does important work in the building of our country’s future.
As I have encouraged our faculty and staff, I encourage you once more, be generous with your spirit, your faith, and your hope for JSerra Catholic High School to be and become all that God has intended. Invest in Mr. Meyer’s success as JSerra’s new President and continue to give priority to patience, charity, hope and faith to grow into the vision we share as the school of first choice in Catholic education in Orange County.
With love and gratitude,
