Saturday, October 28 marks a great accomplishment with JSerra’s Artists In Residence program. Opening Night of the Laguna Beach Art Museum’s exhibit “The Best Kept Secret,” featured a selection of JSerra’s photography students.
Under the direction of Regina Stehney, the students had the opportunity to show their work in this retrospective art show-featuring artist from 1965 to 1971 that were also on faculty of UCI.
Hosting JSerra students in the downstairs gallery and displays student photography work from their book “Beauty Perceived” that was recently published through the JSerra Fine Arts department.
The exhibit at the Laguna Beach Art Museum is opened to the public until January 21.
The students in JSerra teacher Regina Stehney’s class will be exhibiting their Photography at The Laguna Beach Art Museum.
The opening night reception will take place Saturday, October 29 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The work will be on exhibit from October 30, 2011 – January 22, 2012.
This show is in conjunction with a great show- Best Kept Secret: UCI and the Development of Contemporary Art in Southern California, 1964-1971 .
Ms. Stehney commented “I am so proud of all of my students they have learned that hard work and high standards produce excellence in art.” She went on to add “Their extraordinary works exhibited in this exhibition reveal the creativity and high aspirations of young people.
