Artists in Residence Speaker Series Welcomes Woven Harmony

WOVEN HARMONY founded in 1992, by Robert and Rebecca Bluestone,  have since been working together, bringing their unique collaboration and message to audiences across the United States, including the Mayo Clinic, The Federal Reserve Bank, National Governors Association and major universities such as the University of Iowa, Notre Dame, SUNY Buffalo and Cal State Chico.

Creativity experts, Robert and Rebecca possess the rare gift of not only being consummate artists, but they can also articulate to any audience, in their own language, how creativity relates to their everyday lives and assures them success in the 21st Century. Their multi-media performance incorporates Rebecca’s tapestries installed onstage, projected visual images of their home, studio, process and the landscapes and places from which they have drawn inspiration, interwoven with Robert performing his music and conversation between the two artists.

Adding a unique and intimate aspect to the performance, Robert and Rebecca invite the audience onstage to visit with them during the intermission. Their ultimate goal is to share their passion and inspire audiences to own the Power of Creativity.

In 2006 Robert and Rebecca collaborated with Grammy Award winning composer Andrew York to create a major new work for guitar inspired by Robert and Rebecca’s lives, their art and their aesthetic. The tapestries onstage are from a body of work Rebecca created in response to Robert’s interpretation of York’s music. The WOVENHARMONY SUITE will be a highlight of the evening performance.
