Every year the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) holds special awards to recognize PGA professionals in their area of expertise. This year JSerra’s head golf coach Brian Schippel, was awarded the 2011 Junior Golf Leader of the Year, for the Metro Chapter.
Nominated by a member of the PGA, Schippel then had to do a presentation held in front of the special awards committee, talking about skills, techniques, and more, before a PGA professional is awarded.
“I feel honored to be recognized by my peers for the work that I have done promoting the game of golf with the junior golfers in our area,” said Schippel.
JSerra’s Brian Schippel mastered the game of golf and now takes on high school coaching as a Class A Professional Golf Association professional. JSerra Blog spoke with Schippel about his own high school memories and what keeps him motivated.
